Fight Botrytis

There is no direct effect known of sulphur to stop botrytis and any claim in that direction is inappropriate.

However when using Sulphur evaporators to combat powdery mildew, you are automatically not putting 1,000 ltr of water into the greenhouse when you would have when spraying a chemical.

In order to keep the botrytis unhappy a lower humidity does help a lot and this explains why more an more growers are going back to the good old Nivola Sulphur evaporators. The negative effect on the plastic is no longer a risk due to the fact that the distance between the evaporator and the roof has increased a lot and also the quality of plastic has improved a lot over the years.
